Davidson Nature Preserve (Vasselboro)

I went hiking at the Davidson Nature Preserve today.  The 97 acre preserve is owned and managed by the Kennebec Land Trust and features fields, forests and a fen (a wetland similar to a bog but with a stream flowing through it).  The 1.1 mile hike was enjoyable and relatively easy, although the tall grass in multiple sections of the trail resulted in four ticks on my clothing (despite having permethrin treated pants, socks, and shoes).  I'd recommend treated clothes, frequent tick check and tucking your pants into your socks.  Here is a map of my hike.
