Androscoggin Riverlands State Park (Turner)
I had a mid-day appointment in Auburn so took the day off work and hiked afterwards at Androscoggin Riverlands State Park. The 2,675 acre park features 12 miles of river frontage and over 20 miles of trails.
I hiked 4.7 miles on the Homestead, Porcupine, Old River Road and Harrington Path trails. The majority of the hike was on narrow hiking trails through forests and along the river. I didn't see anyone on the hiking trails, although I did see a family of 3 ATV riders and a group of 3 horseback riders on the multi-use trail part of my hike.
This was a nice hike, although I was glad to have had mosquito netting and bug spray. Here is a map of my hike.
