Camden Hills State Park (Camden)

We went camping this weekend with friends at Camden Hills State Park and hiked the Shoreline Trail.

We arrived Friday and set up camp.  The campground has spacious sites with electricity and water, clean bathrooms with showers and flush toilets, and Wi-Fi.

We spent Saturday exploring the area and did a short hike in the park during the afternoon.  The Shoreline Trail is located across the street from the main section of the park and if hiked from the parking lots on that side would be roughly 7/10 of a mile.  From our campsite the round-trip distance was 1.6 miles with 200 feet of elevation gain.  The trail is well-maintained and features views of Penobscot Bay and coastal islands.  Here is a map of our hike.

I didn't get many pictures of the trail as I was enjoying time with friends.
