Kennard Road Trail (Newburgh)
I hiked the Kennard Road Trail in Newburgh this afternoon. This is the second time that I've been to this preserve and the first time when there wasn't snow. (For my last post about this snowshoeing this property see https://welcome.hikingmaine.org/2019/12/snowshoeing-kennard-road-trail-newburgh.html).
The trail briefly crosses a patch of grass near the parking lot before changing to a worn dirt path through a wooded forest. At one point, there is a small side trail to an open field offering views of Newburgh's Peaked Mountain. There were a few trees down today and some mud, but overall the hike was very enjoyable.
Here is a map of my hike.
