Just another snowy day in May.... (Hermon Recreation Trail)
It's May 9th and snowing. We are expected to get 1-3".
I love hiking in the snow, and appreciate it even more during late season snow storms. I love the way that snow looks on the landscape, the way that it muffles sound as you walk, and the fact that insects tend not to be out when its cold enough to snow. I tend to run into very few people when hiking in the snow.
I took advantage of today's weather to walk on the Hermon Recreation Trail. I walk this trail several times a week for fitness, but the snow made the trail feel magical today.
