Day Mountain (Acadia National Park)
We hiked Day Mountain today, enjoying the 34 degree day. A lack of consistent snowfall this winter made the hike significantly easier, since although there was a light snow cover there was little ice to worry about. This was a short 2 mile out-and-back hike with views from the summit. Remarkably there were no footprints along the trail, only tracks left by coyotes and a fox. Here is a map of our hike.
Exactly five years ago I posted my first entry in the blog about a hike to Day Mountain.
