Ducktail Pond Trail, Amherst Mountains Community Forest Public Land (Amherst)

I did a quick hike after work today at the Amherst Mountains Community Forest Public Land.  The Ducktail Pond Trail is a short 0.6 mile trail (one way) that leads to a campsite on Ducktail Pond.  When the water is low, its possible to cross the outlet stream and continue to Partridge Pond; however, the water levels were high today due to the frequent rains we've had lately.  I took some time to sit and watch a pair of loons on the pond before heading back.
