Sandhill Cranes at Sunkhaze Meadows National Wildlife Refuge, Carter Meadows Trail (Milford)

 I hiked the Carter Meadows Trail at the Sunkhaze Meadows NWR today.  I've hiked this trail often, and today the trail was flooded and muddy in multiple sections.  After initially being thwarted on the left spur trail, I took the usually-flooded right spur and managed to get to the observation deck after navigating multiple flooded sections of the trail.  As soon as I arrived, a pair of sandhill cranes arrived in the bog.  I sat and watched the cranes for around 20 minutes.
