Kebo Mountain, Acadia National Park

My son and I hiked Kebo Mountain in Acadia National Park today. At 407 ft, Kebo is not particularly tall, however the large amount of ice on the trail made it a challenging hike nonetheless.  We started out from Kebo Road in Bar Harbor.  The trail was flat initially and then climbed after crossing Park Loop Road.

Many of the reviews I read stated that there were not good views from the summit.  While it is true the summit is forested, we did have decent views at the top.

Our total hike was just under 2 miles.  (It would have been shorter had we found the trailhead right away).  This was a fun hike that would be easy in the summer and required ice cleats and some off trail hiking today.
