Recovery walk on the Hermon Recreation Trail

I did a short one mile walk today on the Hermon Recreation Trail as part of my post-surgical recovery.  I had surgery to repair my abdomen two days ago and the discharge instructions stated walking is allowed and encouraged.  

I reflected on the weekly hikes I've been on since I started this blog in January 2019, and today's ranked up there, not because of the scenery or the wildlife, but simply because I was grateful to be out walking.
