Craig Brook National Fish Hatchery (Orland)
Craig Brook National Fish Hatchery is the second oldest federally-run fish hatchery in the United States, operating since 1889. In addition to raising Atlantic salmon, the USFWS maintains 2.5 miles of trails on the 135 acre property.
I hiked 1.5 miles today, walking through woods until reaching Craig Pond. The trails were relatively flat although mostly ice covered (cleats came in handy). After being sick all week with the flu this was the perfect recovery hike.
Here is a map of my hike.
