Big & Little Moose Ponds, Little Moose Public Land (Greenville)

It was raining near home and along the coast today, so I headed west to Greenville after seeing that the rain there would let up in the afternoon.  I hiked to Big and Little Moose Ponds in the Little Moose Public Land.  Another car was at the trail head when I arrived, and based on the recently ended rain and tracks in the mud, I surmised that two people had headed out on the trail shortly before I arrived.  I heard the individuals a few times during my hike and was frustrated at first that they would scare off wildlife.  I enjoyed the hike, however, and was grateful that the rain had stopped.  I was also grateful I had worn rain boots, as the trail was flooded in parts.  Here is a map of the 2.4 mile hike.
