Sander's Hill Trail, Kennebec Highlands Public Land (Rome)

I hiked the 3.25 mile Sander's Hill Loop Trail in Rome, Maine  this morning.  The trail is maintained by the 7 Lakes Alliance and is located in the Kennebec Highlands Public Land.

I hiked the loop counterclockwise.  The first half mile is relatively flat, after which the trail gradually climbs to the wooded summit.  There are limited views at and near the summit.  The trail then descends, following a stream in parts as it heads back to the parking lot.  

This was a nice wooded trail that felt secluded despite being only 20 miles from Augusta.   I didn't encounter anyone else during the hike.
