Hatch Hill, Bud Leavitt Wildlife Management Area (Charleston)

I hiked 3.2 miles today at the Bud Leavitt Wildlife Management Area in Charleston Maine.   Since it was raining I wanted to visit someplace close to home with a chance of seeing wildlife.

My hike consisted of walking along the Whiting Road and then the Hatch Hill Road.  Both dirt roads are passable by OHVs but Hatch Hill Road in particular was flooded in several spots and it did not appear that many ATVs had ridden on the road in the recent past given the lack of tracks.   I hiked past several large puddles until finally reaching one that I would have had to wade through to pass, at which point I turned around.

Although I didn't see any wildlife this was still an enjoyable hike in the rain.
